     Eating a bag of chips? Delicious right! Great snack. But what you’re really eating are all these weird powders and difficult to pronounce additives and manufactured colors and sticky glue goop. Ingredients: A Visual Exploration of 75 Additives & 25 Food Products is a book that covers exactly what it promises: additives used in food and then popular food products deconstructed to what they’re made out of: Alginate, Annato, Anthocyanins, Ascorbic acid, different versionss of corn, Diacetyl, Disodium inosinate, Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, Ferrous sulfate… and you get the point.

     Of course, these additives in our food aren’t a secret. Not at all. They’re smacked right onto the packaging but it’s completely different to see a list of words versus seeing them splayed out like this.

  1. It should be against the law! They even have so many bugs and bug parts that are acceptable and arsenic! American food companies are killing us with our foods by getting diseases. Terrible! That is why I try not to eat to much chunk stuff but it is in so much food we’d starve. I pray before eating and let God cover it.

    1. Well, grow a garden in the backyard and if you can buy organic items or at least the top few that are considered the most important. Def get organic apples and avocados and tomatoes. The quicker something expires the less crap seems to be in it which is most whole foods. Some say if it didn’t have a mother or grow in the ground or farm to table, they won’t eat it.
